Bees use their long, tube-shaped tongues called proboscis to suck up nectar from flowers. They store the nectar in their extra special honey stomach, which is just for collecting nectar.
Why Bees Are Important
Bees are very important to our ecosystem. Without bees, we wouldn't have many of the fruits and vegetables we love to eat. They help pollinate plants, which means they help plants make seeds.
